INCI name: Cocamide MEA

Cocamide MEA, or CMEA for short, is a non-ionic surfactant commonly sold in a solid flake form. It has similar functions and properties to Cocamide DEA but with better thickening properties. CMEA is commonly chosen as the secondary surfactant over its rivaling surfactants in anionic-based formulas when high viscosity is preferred for its outstanding thickening property. As it's in solid form at room temperature, it's also easier and cheaper to transport and handle compared to other surfactants commonly in liquid form.
